Are there any agencies that give out awards at the end of the year?

I am talking about Fire Fighter of the year or the equivalent.

I think it is pretty sorry the way some agencies treat their employees or never even acknowledge them for what they do.

Does anyone else feel the same?

Well as much as I like where I work I have to say they dont recognize the firefighters much. Well the main offices dont anyway, our local Wartburg office does recognize our work and even though we dont get any awards or anything like that they do give us a big end of seaons dinner and a few days of RR around the shop.

The main offices of federal, state and even contract always look over the little man even though its we lil people who do the big jobs for them.

Yeah,  I absolutely love my job, BUT I think the majority of low level firefighters would agree that the agencies could really use an overhaul. 

Whats up, I haven't heard anything from anyone in a long time. I am just checkin up on things I have no work still so...
